Well, folks, I have just permanently suspended myself from MOON CRATER PLAZA, yet another dead little satellite site with two or three posters, after having been censured and threatened by the so-called 'administrator' there, who variously goes by the names Ripley, Star Trek Fanatic 1701 and Imagr1. He's been begging for someone to post in his cyber-tonb for several weeks now so, in my normal spirit of defending the weak, I went ahead and dropped 42 posts...some of my best work to date, too! As usual, the only response I got after two days was from a toddler who upbraided me for mentioning Scrabble in HIS sacred and private thread about some stupid-assed video game or other. I say 'private' because he was the only one posting there, anyway.
At any rate, the little retard gave me grief, and I let him have some of the infamous truespock verbal bashing. Then came the reports, the admin. post deletions, the closing of the threads and the heavy-handed warnings. Jesus Henry Christ, what putzes!!
For those of you who may be interested (and you KNOW you ARE!), here is the truespock Trek board scorecard, as of now:
STAR TREK.COM--perma-banned for being so nasty. The rest of the nastiness, which provoked me in the first place, is still there under fake I.D.'s. Get a fucking clue, morons.
STAR TREK LOGS--'guested' me for a year because I dared to question the methods and motives of their fearless leader, Colin Krapp. Boy, is THAT gonna be a long year...NOT!!
TREKSPACE--had a hell of a time getting anyone to talk about anything real, as usual, and when i complained about it, the moderators got quite huffy. Adios, suckers.
TREK BBS--driven off in less than a week by the site troll, and the condescending, snotty attitudes of the other posters there. Pure poison!
WISSABOO'S ARCH-ANGELS--censured and warned, I'm outta there!
KEEP ON TREKKIN'--censured and warned, bye bye!
SISTERTREK--registered under fake name, but never bothered posting. The place smells like a rotting corpse. Nice to see Scooby, though.
TREK UNITED--registered under a fake name and posted quite a lot, but was completely ignored. The hottest action there is some bitch who comes to ten forward every single day and posts merely, "Walks In", and some kid who pretends not to be able to speak English, who frequently wonders aloud, "Where everyone else is being?" Gone after a week.
STARBASE 75--Only two posters, no waiting! I was brilliant; they were baffled. Can't figure out why THIS guy even bothers?! He MUST be getting behind on his homework, by now!!
THE BUTT BOARD--I used to check out the latest vicious personal slander about me there each and every day...and respond to it in kind, but I guess this collection of loaded diapers can't take a dose of their own medicine! They locked me--ME, their biggest fan!!--out. I'm betting that they haven't stopped THEIR filthy mouths, though!! Shit's gotta stink, baby!!!
FANPOP--utterly dominated by the UNDER 13 crowd (who can be INCREDIBLY vicious!), and otherwise a complete ghost town. A site is only as good as it's posting members, ya know?!
With a track record like that, it won't surprise you to hear that next week I am canceling my internet service and selling off my computer gear. Don't bother telling me, "Good riddance!" either, ass-wipes...because I won't be online to see it.

Don't panic. I was referring to the other sites I've listed above. I'm intending to keep my I-Pad and I can still get online where I work. I'll still be checking in here from time to time, because this is the only place on the web where I can just say whatever I want, without putting someone's panties in a twist. Quite frankly, I find that very valuable in a world in which most people would rather keep their head resolutely stuffed up their own ass than to hear a little truth.

There are actually four names on your list that I have not tried, but I find it hard to believe, at this late date, that any of them would be different than all of the others. I've been at this for more than two years now, and I finally seem to be evolving beyond the burdensome compulsion to reach out to my fellow man.
I'm rather looking forward to spending more time with my very best friend in the entire world...myself.

I maintained my private practice as a clinical psychologist (specializing in child development) near there for about twenty years, while I taught philosophy at Cal State Long Beach in the evenings. Then I did another ten years of it in Eugene, Oregon while teaching physics at the U of O at night. Okay. First off, you called me the fat, alkie jobless twit from NZ. That's not amenable. Secondly, you were mundane in questioning my extensive vocabulary. It's been done 1,000 times before and it always ends up humiliating the person with the limited vocab.
Next, you seem to have swallowed and whole digested idiocies put forth by the red-faced alkie. I'll explain. All those accounts that somerled the mendacious THOUGHT we mine at ST.com...were people imitating me. [laugh] Now, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but people were actually cutting and pasting old posts of mine or failing (except in the case of fools) with their nugatory aping of my style. So, when I saw you post more than once that people thought you were me, I found that something that had to be out to rest forever. Now, you have your own style, but I feel it pales in comparison to my own. Posting more than once about this was untenable, and it had to be put to rest.
Now, the post I am responding to is THE first indication that you are someone and someone who might be who they say they are, because you weren't telling me to die or littering your post with expletives or pejorative epithets. If you post like that all the time, no one will take you seriously.
Furthermore, when my posts upset you over at STL, you actually blamed Starbase! You labelled me an attack dog LOL!!! that attacked you at SB's behest. As for my having been 'mundane', that is certainly a complaint I don't get to often...but I DO understand it: being mundane must surely be the first deadly sin, don't you think?!
So, just to clarify, my repeated mention of the feckless notion that I sound a lot like you (which I most definitely DO NOT subscribe to!) was actually engendered by the number of other poster's who made that statement to me. MY intention in doing this was always to deny any affiliation with, or knowledge of you, but the frequency with which your name was being brought up by strangers may indeed have proven annoying to you. Think about how I must feel.
Now, my beef with Colin is that he has NEVER ONCE been supportive of me when I needed it. The incident in which you gave me the patented 'Gojira Treatment' when you thought I was trying to claim to be you was only one of many, many instances in which I really could have used a friend, but our Colin is simply too damned suspicious of everyone to ever really be there for anyone (my opinion). He continues to distrust me TO THIS DAY, although I have repeatedly pleaded with him for understanding. As ever, it has most often seemed to me that my only possible recourse, in the face of undeserved belligerence on the internet is to return the aggression in kind.
There is a medical condition, in addition to my having been born legally blind, which is responsible for my reacting to people in the way that I do, only partially controlled with the medication I take daily for it. For reasons I can't really easily explain, this condition has never affected my ability to get an education or embark on, and maintain a professional career, but it is the kiss of death when it comes to personal interactions--even on the internet. Consequently, I have greatly reduced the amount of input I am giving to this most questionable passtime, and may, in fact, eventually disappear entirely...but before that happens, it has seemed important for me to tell my side of the story. That is what I am doing here.
I intrinsically understand that people like Somerled and Yanks are, by definition unreachable, but I find myself wondering whether, if you were able to moderate your compulsion to 'put me in my place', we might actually have something interesting to say to each other.

I'm sorry to hear about your condition, but I can't accept that you can't work to ameliorate your responses to get what you actually want: to be a member of a moderately busy ST board and discuss Star Trek. You stated this right here, so I have to believe that's something you want.
Perhaps your limitation caused by your illness prevents your from realizing that you were at fault with SB and others at STL. If you enjoyed that board and want to return, it's not an impossibility.

Perhaps, but I do find it difficult to separate the two of them in my mind, when their respective behavior towards me was absolutely identical in every detail. Maybe I am misperceiving Yanks because of his reaction to me, in just the way that I have been cast as a vicious maniac because of my now habitual response to a lifetime of my being tormented by an inexhaustible army of those myriad poor sods whom I essentially regard to be my intellectual inferiors.
Ultimately, the atmosphere of the internet is entirely too reminiscent of the primary school playground or the high school locker room to ever be anything close to comfortable for me. I was always told that the bullies would eventually 'grow out of it', but they never did...and I never learned how to just shrug it off.
I do find it fascinating, however, that you appear to treat people very much as I do, but I am unilaterally declared to be 'a liar and a fraud', while you seem to have been made into some kind of local folk hero. I'd give real money to be able to figure THAT ONE out!!

Believe me, the scale to which I am forced to take my contention that most people are my intellectual inferiors is as at least as horrifying to me as it may be to you. I make this judgement based upon the behavior of those people towards me, which is, quite possibly, an outgrowth of my attitude towards them...the classic stereotypical vicious circle. While I am admittedly inordinately proud of my personal accomplishments, particularly in the face of the physical constraints I have overcome, the fact that I have been bullied throughout my life by people who I can't readily see have a leg to stand on has generated in me a fairly serious 'chip on the shoulder', which you see displayed online rather that a more fair and balanced representation of who I am at the core.
However, I remain singularly disinclined to apologize to anyone at STL, in that I continue to believe strongly that it is I who have been wronged by the people who uniformly refused to stand by me when they should have. I would possibly entertain an apology from Colin and the others were it to be tendered, but I certainly am not expecting one anytime soon.
I do mourn the loss of friends like grigori, reedenterprise and akebono62, ostensibly driven off by my raging against the likes of Yanks and Somerled and even you on occasion but, at the end of the day, it seems more important for me to have my say in an unrestricted manner. The reaction of the mob to what I deem nothing worse than a merciless barrage of the unvarnished truth becomes distinctly secondary to the faithful pursuit of that truth.
This is, in fact, the very same approach that you use in your posting, so I would be very much surprised and more than a little disappointed if you were to claim that you can't see it as equally valid when I do it.

He's been begging for someone to post in his cyber-tonb for several weeks now so, in my normal spirit of defending the weak, I went ahead and dropped 42 posts...some of my best work to date, too! As usual, the only response I got after two days was from a toddler who upbraided me for mentioning Scrabble in HIS sacred and private thread about some stupid-assed video game or other. I say 'private' because he was the only one posting there, anyway.
At any rate, the little retard gave me grief, and I let him have some of the infamous truespock verbal bashing. Then came the reports, the admin. post deletions, the closing of the threads and the heavy-handed warnings. Jesus Henry Christ, what putzes!!

Okay. First off, you called me the fat, alkie jobless twit from NZ. That's not amenable. Secondly, you were mundane in questioning my extensive vocabulary. It's been done 1,000 times before and it always ends up humiliating the person with the limited vocab.
Next, you seem to have swallowed and whole digested idiocies put forth by the red-faced alkie. I'll explain. All those accounts that somerled the mendacious THOUGHT we mine at ST.com...were people imitating me. [laugh] Now, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but people were actually cutting and pasting old posts of mine or failing (except in the case of fools) with their nugatory aping of my style. So, when I saw you post more than once that people thought you were me, I found that something that had to be out to rest forever. Now, you have your own style, but I feel it pales in comparison to my own. Posting more than once about this was untenable, and it had to be put to rest.
Now, the post I am responding to is THE first indication that you are someone and someone who might be who they say they are, because you weren't telling me to die or littering your post with expletives or pejorative epithets. If you post like that all the time, no one will take you seriously.
Furthermore, when my posts upset you over at STL, you actually blamed Starbase! You labelled me an attack dog LOL!!! that attacked you at SB's behest. That's so ridiculous that I'm can't help but laugh about it yet again. Heck, I got a 40% warning from admin for my posts to you. I've always spoken my mind in my own unique and helpful fashion.
I'd be glad to discuss things with you, but you falsely accused SB of a bunch of crap and probably other people, too. For myself, :lol: I can take anything anyone throws at me and, as one poster at STcom said about me, return the exchange and leave them a chalk outline on the sidewalk.

Interesting. You realize, of course, that my 'unamenable' references to you as potentially being either Ian or Dennis were a simple matter of phishing, in an attempt to draw you out. As for my having been 'mundane', that is certainly a complaint I don't get to often...but I DO understand it: being mundane must surely be the first deadly sin, don't you think?!
So, just to clarify, my repeated mention of the feckless notion that I sound a lot like you (which I most definitely DO NOT subscribe to!) was actually engendered by the number of other poster's who made that statement to me. MY intention in doing this was always to deny any affiliation with, or knowledge of you, but the frequency with which your name was being brought up by strangers may indeed have proven annoying to you. Think about how I must feel.
Now, my beef with Colin is that he has NEVER ONCE been supportive of me when I needed it. The incident in which you gave me the patented 'Gojira Treatment' when you thought I was trying to claim to be you was only one of many, many instances in which I really could have used a friend, but our Colin is simply too damned suspicious of everyone to ever really be there for anyone (my opinion). He continues to distrust me TO THIS DAY, although I have repeatedly pleaded with him for understanding. As ever, it has most often seemed to me that my only possible recourse, in the face of undeserved belligerence on the internet is to return the aggression in kind.
There is a medical condition, in addition to my having been born legally blind, which is responsible for my reacting to people in the way that I do, only partially controlled with the medication I take daily for it. For reasons I can't really easily explain, this condition has never affected my ability to get an education or embark on, and maintain a professional career, but it is the kiss of death when it comes to personal interactions--even on the internet. Consequently, I have greatly reduced the amount of input I am giving to this most questionable passtime, and may, in fact, eventually disappear entirely...but before that happens, it has seemed important for me to tell my side of the story. That is what I am doing here.
I intrinsically understand that people like Somerled and Yanks are, by definition unreachable, but I find myself wondering whether, if you were able to moderate your compulsion to 'put me in my place', we might actually have something interesting to say to each other.

I'm sorry to hear about your condition, but I can't accept that you can't work to ameliorate your responses to get what you actually want: to be a member of a moderately busy ST board and discuss Star Trek. You stated this right here, so I have to believe that's something you want.
Perhaps your limitation caused by your illness prevents your from realizing that you were at fault with SB and others at STL. If you enjoyed that board and want to return, it's not an impossibility.

Maybe I am misperceiving Yanks because of his reaction to me, in just the way that I have been cast as a vicious maniac because of my now habitual response to a lifetime of my being tormented by an inexhaustible army of those myriad poor sods whom I essentially regard to be my intellectual inferiors.
Ultimately, the atmosphere of the internet is entirely too reminiscent of the primary school playground or the high school locker room to ever be anything close to comfortable for me. Well, I don't curse or threaten anyone or wish death upon them. I've had numerous people hate me, (and really hate me, ah what fun and how funny were those days) but they weren't worthy of anything but being told of my frank assessments of them and my helpful hints for improving their lives. lol I've also been part numerous intellectual debates over the years, so I think that might be a factor.
I'm a member of a non Trek board that would make anything you've seen or said tame, very tame, by comparison.
Now, you can't assume people are your intellectual inferiors on the scale you take it to. In fact, unless they are fatuous about it, it's hubris and stupidity to treat anyone as your intellectual inferior on a satellite Trek board. in fact, trumpeting it and saying it over and over only makes you look semi-educated at best. Prove your intelligence by posts that might persuade people to think you have a good intellect. Telling them that will only make them look down upon you.
In a debate, you can call someone every name in the book if you are simultaneously making telling and succinct points in a ubiquitous manner. Otherwise, it's just hot air.

Believe me, the scale to which I am forced to take my contention that most people are my intellectual inferiors is as at least as horrifying to me as it may be to you. I make this judgement based upon the behavior of those people towards me, which is, quite possibly, an outgrowth of my attitude towards them...the classic stereotypical vicious circle. While I am admittedly inordinately proud of my personal accomplishments, particularly in the face of the physical constraints I have overcome, the fact that I have been bullied throughout my life by people who I can't readily see have a leg to stand on has generated in me a fairly serious 'chip on the shoulder', which you see displayed online rather that a more fair and balanced representation of who I am at the core.
However, I remain singularly disinclined to apologize to anyone at STL, in that I continue to believe strongly that it is I who have been wronged by the people who uniformly refused to stand by me when they should have. I would possibly entertain an apology from Colin and the others were it to be tendered, but I certainly am not expecting one anytime soon.
I do mourn the loss of friends like grigori, reedenterprise and akebono62, ostensibly driven off by my raging against the likes of Yanks and Somerled and even you on occasion but, at the end of the day, it seems more important for me to have my say in an unrestricted manner. The reaction of the mob to what I deem nothing worse than a merciless barrage of the unvarnished truth becomes distinctly secondary to the faithful pursuit of that truth.
This is, in fact, the very same approach that you use in your posting, so I would be very much surprised and more than a little disappointed if you were to claim that you can't see it as equally valid when I do it.
