Title: Cummerbatch as Khan Description: Is anyone else leery of this?
truespock - June 26, 2012 07:49 PM (GMT) As a life-long devotee of Sherlock Holmes, I must say I was particularly skeptical of Benedict Cummerbatch playing a wimpy kid modernized version of the Great Detective. He was fabulous...easily rivaling the remarkable performances by my two all-time favorites, Jeremy Brett and Basil Rathbone.
But can he do it again in the upcoming Star Trek movie?! I really don't see how. Now, I'm not looking for a Montalban clone by any means. In fact, the more Abrams can distance his version from a mindless TOS rehash, the happier I'll be. But Cummerbatch as the genetically engineered superman of the Eugenics Wars. I'm sorry I just can't see it, myself.
So, what do the rest of you think?!
